Captain Marden's in Wellesley
Captain Marden's in Wellesley is where most top notch (and second tier and maybe even third tier ) Restaurants in Boston and surrounding areas buy their seafood to serve in their respective restaurants. They have a restaurant (Paper Plates and a waiting list , and it's worth the wait) plus a great Seafood Market. If you want fresh Seafood, that's the place to go.

Captain Marden's on Linden Street in Wellesley has always amazed me with the quality of their fish. They even have sushi grade!!

There is no question Capt. Marden's is the best but if you can't make it to Wellesley find a Donellon's Market store's and their fish dept. has all Capt. Marden's fish delivered daily....

Kennedy's
Rt 85, Marlborough
My second choice is Kennedy's on Rt 85 in Marlborough. According to them they have their own boat so the seafood goes from their Boat to the restaurant and to their seafood market but they don't have the selection that Captain Marden has.
We have dined at Kennedy's frequently ( for about 20 years) and have never been disappointed.
My absolute favorite was the Legal Seafoods Market in Chestnut Hill, but they have downsized the retail end of the business which is disappointing.
