Your friend may want to consider Steven Lander in Framingham. They do have a website for the vital statistics. All I know is that he represented a good friends husband in a complicated divorce involving 2 businesses. At the end of the day she wished that she had hired him first. She said he was aggressive but polite about it.

I thought I'd throw my opinion into the fray....my husband and I used Phil Benjamin of Bikofsky, White & Benjamin, for our estate planning. Phil is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to understand, and adept at handling a subject that can quickly become uncomfortable ("so, if I die, you're gonna move to Florida? What?" "Yeah, well, you want your crazy brother to be the guardian of our kids. He isn't even out of your parent's house yet!")
Our plan included handling of my husband's business assets as well, so it was no boilerplate effort.
On top of all that, we felt he was reasonably priced for his services. He is a very bright guy. You can't go wrong with him!

I had to go through the horrors of suing an employer years ago along with a group of co-workers. It was a three year process, and at the end the vast majority of the money ended up with the attorneys. Despite that, the guy we used did a good job and he exercised some fun creativity as part of his strategy.
My advise to anyone paying for a lawyer is to establish a protocol for how you talk on the phone. If you ask a simple question, then don't needlessly allow for fifteen minute answers at $650/hr. I'm not saying that some answers don't take time, but at the end of an answer you don't want to feel like you just bought an appetizer and paid for dinner for four.
