Without question I recommend Dr. Qiande Nie at Acupuncture Associates of Framingham. He's now on Union Ave. He not only is a licensed acupuncturist, but is also a doctor of western medicine, an herbologist and does shiatsu massage as well. He is very honest about what he can and cannot fix. When he treated me for a lifetime of severe sinus trouble, he told me he wasn't sure he could completely cure me, but at the very least could make things better. Within a short period of time, almost two decades of symptoms were GONE. I felt fabulous and it happened so subtly, I didn't even notice it at first. He's thorough, he's gentle and he's very well educated, both here and in China. I think you'll be very pleased with his services.

I went to Dr. Nie for a while about three years ago. It was a truly great experience. He's one of those guys who is probably a lot older than he looks. He treated me in such a manner that I felt like I was being seen by someone with many centuries of experience. A session with him always made me feel like I had just had a full night's sleep and fully refreshed.

And I'll provide the third. I've been seeing Dr. Nie after back surgery. He has also helped with other ailments. Great hours. Always available times even the day you call. Nice bedside manner. Takes some insurance.

I have been seeing Dr Qiangde Nie on Union Street in Framingham for residual sciatica ever since my L4/L5 surgery. I don't have the pain any more due to his gentle hands and needles. He's extremely knowledgeable and caring. It's very easy to get an appointment and his receptionist is such a sweetheart.

I highly recommend Janine Agoglia at Integrative Therapeutics in Natick. Janine is thoughtful, intelligent and listens well. She is currently on maternity leave, but is due back at the beginning of March. Integrative Theraputics is in the same building as Longfellows in Natick.

I can, without hesitation, recommend Susan Stone of Stone Health Center in Southborough. I've been going to Susan for over 4 years, and have had great success working with her.
I was not initially a "fan" of alternative therapies, but I had reached a point with my medical condition (fibromyalgia syndrome) that I had to do something. I was taking 3 different medications to control the FMS, yet I was getting no relief. The pain in my neck and shoulders was so intense I couldn't even raise my left arm above my head. A friend recommended that I schedule an appointment with Susan. After that first session with Susan I had some relief. Within 6 months, working in conjunction with Susan and my primary care physician, I was able to discontinue taking the prescription medications... a sleep aid, an anti-depressant and one that was supposed to control shaking. Here it is 4 years later and I can't imagine NOT going for my sessions with Susan. I don't even remember when I last had a "fibro flare-up."
I have recommended Susan to others and they have also responded well to her therapies. She is professional, thorough, gentle and extremely easy to work with.

They are highly competent, skilled, compassionate, gentle accupuncture masters and treat a variety of conditions. Through regular sessions with Robert I was back from shoulder surgery in three months instead of the six months to a year my surgeon was advocating.
They are also practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine and have a vast array of compounds available.
Also affiliated with the Natural Wellness practice is Martha, a massage therapist who is highly skilled in various massage and energetic healing modalities. Massage can help relieve symptoms of chemotheraphy.

I also highly recommend Natural Wellness on Franklin near the Main St. intersection. For the last year, I have had accupunture and herbal treatments from Beverly (and Robert and Antonio when Bev is on vacation)for allergies, stress management, muscle and joint pain, and other physical complaints. I have had a very positive experience there. They are warm, friendly, compassionate, kind, respectful, and take time with me. The client reports all symptoms and their severity at each session. The practioner makes physical observations and assessments and then that day's treatment is determined (in the context of the longer term treatment). They also offer a sliding scale fee system which helps to make treatments available to all regardless of ability to pay. I don't know if they specifically treat the neuropathy you describe but call them and I'm sure they'd be happy to discuss it with your friend.
