I don't normally do this but there is a new restaurant, Subs and More at 1609 Concord street. It is right next to Liberty Music and Subway in Saxonville. I have had occasion to eat there twice so far and must say that the place is impeccably clean, the owners are nice as can be, legally immigrated here 3 years ago from Turkey and most importantly the food is Excellent. And a great value. Don't let the name fool you. It is mostly Middle-Eastern and Turkish fare. All made FRESH on site in their open kitchen. The freshly made hummus is the best I have ever tasted.
I have no relation to this place. I came across it while at the newly revamped Liberty Music. ( which, incidentally is a wonderful place for instrument lessons of all types).
I have spoken with the owner of Subs and More. He related to me that he is having difficulty attracting business. He is trying signs and all sorts of gimicks to attract people in. He gives away a free sample of freshly made falafel just for walking in the door.
It would be a shame if this place failed due to lack of interest. Support our local small businesses. They are a part of what make our Town a wonderful place to live.
Thank you.

I enthusiastically second Brian's recommendation. We stopped by one evening on the way home, excited to see the "Falafel" sign in the window. We ordered a falafel sandwich to go and chatted with the owner as we waited. Suddenly, the cook appeared with a sampler plate of Mid-eastern appetizers, and insisted that we sit and enjoy, which we thoroughly did (hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli, and a stuffed grape leaf). As Brian said, everything was fresh and very flavorful and the owner most cordial.
Unfortunately, the Subs and More sign give the impression that its just another sub shop, which is probably why business is not so great.
If you like Mid-eastern food, give this little place a try. It's a welcome addition to Saxonoville.

I third Brian's recommendation! Subs and More isn't actually new, it's been around over a year. There panini's are fabulous, as it there Chicken Kabob plate with tasty rice and middle eastern dipping sauces. We used to be fans of Georgio's, but have since switched. I was actually talking to the owner once, one of his cooks used to be an interior designer. He totally gutted the place when they moved in, and decorated the lobby in that fun, inviting decor! Definitely worth checking out, and if you live locally they deliver!!!

We totally agree! We've been eating there for about a year now. The Eggplant plate on the lunch menu is out of this world!! I can't remember the name of the carrot salad but it is also delicious. It's garlicky and creamy. Their kids meal are so inexpensive. I agree with the earlier writer that the name doesn't do anything to intrigue you into going in. Once you try it though I'm sure you'll return often.

I don't understand the name of this place - it is way more than a conventional sub shop, it is authentic Turkish/Greek food that will make you long for Santarini.
Tonight was my second trip there in a week. the first time while I was eating a lovely lamb kabob, I heard another patron praising the Vezir pie, so this time I had that - delicious! It is a seasoned ground beef in a soft, thin bread wrapper (sort of like a nice Indian nan bread) with a fantastic sauce made from yogurt, cucumber, garlic with a hint of caraway.
There is off street park in back and the prices are very modest. The Vezir pie was $6.95. There are many vegetarian options here too.
