General note: If you haven't already, before you call any providers, contact the Town and make sure that you are permitted to replace part or all of your septic system. There is a rule that if you are within a certain distance from a sewer line, you are required to tap into the infrastructure and are prohibited from replacing your system. There are exceptions made so be sure to check with them first. (Brenda Crawshaw)

We've used John C. Parmenter, Inc. a couple of times before and they've always done a good job. The people we bought our house from used them and recommended them.

We currently use and swear by Paul Trufant (508) 533-6707 in Medway. He is extremely knowledgable, no BS, fairly priced and gets the job done. In the event that our system craps out (sorry, couldn't help it!), he is the ONLY person we will call.

$215 pump + $5 fuel - 50 to suck me in. + 30/ft digging= $200

Rodenheiser

I would avoid Rodenheiser at all costs. I know they have their fans but literally every single one of our interactions with them have revealed them to me to be careless, sloppy, disingenuous, dismissive and deceitful. We only used them once but had several interactions with them as they had been the people to provide the certification necessary for us to purchase this house.

Sears & Schofield

Sears & Schofield did me last time but they're called something else.

$230.97 to pump

+ $15.70 "fuel" charge + $27.50/ft digging fee

$274.17

Wind River

Hudson, MA 01749
978-562-4500

I also suggest avoiding Windriver. They came to pump us out once, announced that our system was completely shot and needed to replaced immediately and left me here in a panic. Trufant came out, said they were full of it, that the system was fully operational and let me know that he was very busy with calls from people who were told exactly the same thing by Windriver. Turns out Windriver was new in the area and was trying to drum up some high cost replacement revenue.

We use Wind River for routine pumping and have never had any trouble dealing with them.
