Famous Pizza

Pinefield Shopping Center
61 Nicholas Road, Saxonville
Framingham, MA 01701-3498

I had the best pizza last night for dinner. Yes, it was just a small cheese pizza, but the crust was perfect and the sauce slightly tangy and the cheese was plentiful. My favorite pizza is meatball and onion but you can't beat the price of $2.85 for a small cheese pizza on Tuesdays.

Famous also makes great cheesy buffalo fries. And a great meatball and sausage grinder.

I don't ever remember getting something bad at Famous. The people who work there are friendly and always willing to give the customer what they want.

And they now deliver!!!!

Great-tasting sauce, not too greasy, and the right amount of crunchy. Friends we've had over are surprised at how good it is.

Lynn Joiner 3/26/10

I agree,, and it is clean. They always wear gloves to make sandwiches, which is more than I can say about many other pizza joints in the area.

Beth Grossman 10/31/07

My family really loves Liberty/Famous pizza, too! And they have amazing deals on Sundays- large cheese pizza for $5.25; and Tuesdays - small cheese pizza for $2.75, I think.

Ann Ide 3/26/10

One suggestion about Liberty/Famous....while they DO have great pizza specials for the low prices quoted below, I HIGHLY recommend that you spring for the regular price pizza of your choice, as there is a noticable difference in quality in my opinion. I like their chicken alfredo, if you go in for chicken/white sauce pizza, and their pepper and onion or pepperoni and mushroom are great...

Just don't judge them on those free cheese pizzas alone, is all I'm sayin'....

The sweetest Pizza in town based on the sauce is Famous/Liberty Pizza by Robinsons Ace Hardware. Heavy on the sauce and sweet.

Gianni's Pizza & Sub's Inc

861 Edgell Road
Framingham, MA 01701-3997
(508) 877-7697 or (508) 877-7704

Gianni's is next to Dunkin Doughnuts near the corner of Water Street and Edgell. I like their traditional pizzas (full crust, red sauce, every topping you've ever heard of. They don't accept credit cards.

Nicola Cataldo 3/24/10

I second the vote for Gianni's.

Nicole Cottam 3/24/10

The best pizza is at Gianni's in Nobscott....Walter Siggins 3/24/10

North End Treats is really good, and Gianni's has been a long time favorite.

Andrea Pizza & Bagel

847 Edgell Rd
Framingham, MA 01701
(508) 877-4600

On the opposite side of the parking lot from Gianni's near Nobscot Cafe you find Andrea's. Their crust is a little thinner and I like them best for their white sauce and unusual combos. Shrimp or chicken in an alfredo sauce will set you free.

Centre Pizza

961 Worcester Road
in the little plaza at the corner of Edgell and Rt-9W
Framingham, MA
508-879-3100

I would absolutely recommend Centre Pizza. We go there all the time. They're very friendly, and the pizza is excellent (they also have the best onion rings I've ever had). Unfortunately they do not deliver, but the quality of the pizza is good enough (and going gives us an excuse to get some ice cream next door afterward) that going over is worth it.

We often go in, order, and grab sodas or chips to munch on until the pizza is ready. They don't charge until your whole order is ready. The atmosphere is fairly classic "pizza place," but it's clean, we've never had trouble getting a table when we want to stay to eat, and there seem to be just as many adult couples (including a lot of regulars) as younger people even though it's right across from Framingham State, so it isn't a rowdy college pizza spot.

I'm with Amelia. Centre Pizza is the BEST!

Sub-way & Pizza

510 Union Avenue
Framingham, MA 01702
(508) 879-8818

Good morning, neighbors,

I have to say that our favorite local pizza place is Sub-way Pizza, (across from Bowditch Field). John Hana, owner and local family man, manages his restaurant with pride. He makes a greek style pizza that is absolutely delicious. As I am watching my waist, I request light on the cheese and as far as he can go to the crust. When we open our pizza box on Friday nights we are always happy with how they make it to order.

He also makes a mean Steak & Cheese, Italian, Meatball and Chicken Salad Subs.

Give him a try, I think you will agree, that he could quite possibly have the best pizza in town!

Have a nice day.

Goody's Pizza

969 Concord Street
Framingham, MA 01701
(508) 620-7171
Closed on Sundays

I think that Goody's Pizza on 126 has the best pizza. Just north of Rts 9 and 30, before the split at the YMCA. Great pizza, including great veggie pizza (I like it with no cheese,) and great grinders as well, especially the meatball grinders. The owner Sam is a great guy; he worked at Table Top Pizza in Holliston many years ago before opening his own place, Goody's. Tell Sam that Scott sent you.

Best,

Franco's Pizza

365 Boston Post Rd
Sudbury, MA 01776

http://www.welovefrancos.com

I have to say that the best pizza in town isn't in town any more, but still exists just over the line in Sudbury.

For all of you former Franco's Pizza fans who despaired when they moved to Mill Village in Sudbury and no longer sold pizza... I have great news. Franco's Trattoria (near Duck Soup in the Mill Village complex in Sudbury, across from the Dunkin Donuts) has gotten their pizza oven and is back to making their incredibly good thin-crust pizza.

Although it's not in town, Franco and Donna live in Framingham and had pizza shops in Framingham for some time.

Perry L. Bent 3/24/10

I can also vouch for Franco's. Their pasteries, from Holy Canolli in Worcester are out of this world...especially. the whoopie pies! Last week, I had an Eggplant Panini which was simply amazing! And I adore their Shrimp Pesto pizza. So glad they are back!

Anastasia's Oven And Grill

12 Union Ave
Framingham, MA 01702
(508) 620-6972

I don't know where you live, Corey, but Anastasia's in downtown Framingham has quite possibly the best pizza I've ever eaten. (Well, OK, maybe not better than a tiny place I remember from my long-ago high school days -- but that could be enhanced memories!) They are right across from the Mem Building. They deliver -- don't know the range. Their "Checkmates" specialty pizza is out of this world -- grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes . . . .aaahhh.... I might have to go have some right now!

Jane Eyler 3/24/10

I also recommend Anastasia's. We get a pizza with tomato, garlic, and spinach, and they use fresh ingredients for all three. We were amazed! My only complaint is that they're closed on Sundays! :-( We were forced one Sunday to order from Friendly Pizza which I quite liked buy my wife didn't.

Peter Adams 3/25/10

I have a section of my blog called "Pizza Quest" which researches Framingham's pizza offerings. You can check it out here.

My husband and I love Anastaia's downtown, they do a great job every time. I particularly like their eggplant pizza.

Happy eating!

North End Treats

661 Cochituate Rd
Framingham, MA 01701
(508) 620-6836
North End Treats' pizza on Route 30 is also great.

Nicole Cottam 3/24/10

North End Treats is really good, and Gianni's has been a long time favorite.

Greg Haggard 3/24/10

Based on a few recommendations I bought a pizza today from "North End Treats", It was one of the worst pizza's I've tasted. It was so greasy that more than half of it was fed to our garbage disposal. While there I also bought two cannoli's, they were bland, tastless and nothing like I've gotten in the north end or the one's I have when my wife feels like making them.

Royal Pizza

780 Water St.
Framingham,

I've tried a lot of pizzas in and around Framingham and Sudbury, and my vote goes to Royal Pizza in Nobscot next to CVS, and also to Round Up Pizza in Saxonville in the Walgreen complex on Hamilton St.
