Deb Cohen

89 Main Street
Medway, MA
(508) 533-0777 or (508) 494-7071

It's a bit of a schlep to get to her office, but she's worth every inch. She takes several insurance plans and will work within any budget for glasses, lenses, contacts, etc. She used to see people at Target and BJ's, so, yes, she's "that Dr. Cohen". Her patients, like me, would likely travel across the COUNTRY to see her. She is an excellent diagnostician, has the patience of a saint and is one of THE nicest people on top of all of it. She has been doing so well that she recently expanded her office space and has a large selection of frames if you choose to have your glasses done through her.

Dr. Jody Judge

61 Lincoln St
Framingham, MA 01702-8264
(508) 875-9787

I have seen Dr. Judge twice in ten years, both times with an oddball eyeball issue. Both times she has taken a holistic and thoughtful approach, asking good questions, taking time to understand all the details, and then helping find a solution that worked. While it took a little longer in her waiting room than I expected, she is worth waiting for.

Dr. Edward V. Miller

181 Concord St.
Framingham 01702-8305
(508) 879-3204

Dr. Edward V. Miller is an MD who specializes in ophthalmology. I have been going to him for years and find him to be highly qualified and caring. He performed cataract operations on both of my eyes, one year apart. He restored my corrected vision to 20/20 in one eye, and 20/30 in the other. I almost don't even need to wear glasses anymore. I would recommend him very highly.

Pediatric & Adult Ophthalmics

181 Concord St
Framingham, MA
(508) 879-3204

I do NOT recommend Pediatric & Adult Ophthalmics in downtown Framinhgam. In one visit alone the clinician was late and rude, the front office staff were rude, my prescription was wrong (and it's an easy one, I have been told many times), the office staff lost record of my payment and wouldn't accept my copy of the receipt as proof of payment (until I got Irish on them) and they billed my insurance incorrectly and at first refused to rebill with the codes they should have known in the first place. I'm just sayin'................

Re Drs. Tracy K. Hairston and Blocher

It appears that he is with Pediatric and Adult Ophthalmology. One person emailed that she had a very bad experience there and I can second that. I took my 13 year-old son for a check-up last summer because he thought he was having some difficulty seeing the board at school. We saw Dr. Blocher (we also saw him when my son was in the 2nd grade and Dr. Blocher was fine then), and he (Dr. Blocher) was very rude. He found nothing wrong with my son's eyesight and basically scolded us, over and over, for wasting his time. His office staff was fine, but I won't darken their door again.

Dr. Susan Rodgin

33 Main Street
Wayland, MA 01778-5015
(508) 651-3887

Dr. Susan Rodgin in Wayland is excellent. I've refered a couple of friends to her. Bear with her receptionist, she's a few fries short of a happy meal but the doc is great. If I'm not mistaken, she teaches at Mass Eye and Ear too.

Southboro Medical Group

24 Newton St
Southboro
508-460-3150

For many years I have used visual services inside Soutboro Medical Group. Dr. Scott is my eye doctor and is extremely professional. I wear glasses for near and far, and just had my checkup. Had my eyes dialated too. Everything went smoothly there and I am still very satisfied with them.

Dr. Paul Levine
drpaul@greatvisioncare.com
John M. Abbondanza, OD, FCOVD
drjohn@greatvisioncare.com

They are on Route 9 (the Eastbound side) about a block after O'Leary's restaurant (near the Southboro/Framingham line). Both my husband and I have used them. They are knowledgeable, sensitive, and thorough. The medical doctors do the eye exams and the opticians are there in the glasses department to handle that portion.

You can certainly mention Jonathan and Lisa Shapiro referred you to them. We both have been examined by "Dr. John" and I have referred people to both him and Dr. Paul. I would highly recommend Dr. Abbondanza and Dr. Levine. The website, email and the telephone number is as follows:

I would recommend Vision Care Specialists in Southborough. We've used both physicians here and have been very happy with them.
