Reggie Stone Work
(508) 460-7967

Years ago I saw and very much admired some dry stacked walls along Salem End Road and learned that Reggie's did the the work. ((508) 460-7967). They specialize in dry faced/mortar backed walls (walls that don't have cement showing on the front but have the strength and stability of mortar where it can't be seen). My grandfather built several stone walls - which were things of beauty! - and these were similarly aesthetically beautiful and very well built structurally.

I asked Reggie to come out and give me an estimate of some extensive work we would like to have donw. The other estimates that I got were all over $20K whereas Reggie's was about $14K (removal and rebuilding of two existing mortar laden walls, design and installation of two brick and bluestone steps, removal of old concrete walk and installation of set-in bluestone, removal of railroad ties and replacement with stone). This estimate was at the END of the season where you will often get a reduced price.

Alas, we have not yet done the work; it is being saved for the whole house reno when I am 156 years old.

He did our front steps and front walkway. He even had to deal with a completely unexpected structural issue and came up with a brilliant solution. He does great work and is extremely prompt and courteous.
