I would call Steve Rendell. He's is quite a craftsman and if not able to repair your chair will tell you the perfect person to do so. He is a wealth of information of Framinghams assets.

There's an excellent craftsman who does exactly this kind of work in the Fountain Street building--His name is Kevin Bianchi. I don't have his number handy, but he's in the phone book. I had him repair a 40-year old rocking chair and an antique "smoking table" and he did a great job on both. It wasn't cheap, but I thought the price was fair, given the type of work he's doing.

I've had Kevin Bianchi, who works out of the Fountain Street building, repair a number of piece of furniture, including a couple of antiques, and he did excellent work.

Kevin Bianchi just repaired a dining chair for me and did a great job. My father's hobby was furniture making and I know good work when I see it. I will use his services again. * There is a freight elevator if you can't carry the piece up the stairs.

Brian Leveille, of Leveille's Upholstering, does fantastic work at reasonable prices. He made custom cushions for a seating area in my kitchen for less than half what the Fabric Place wanted to charge, and he did beautiful work. He's on 126, just south of Rt. 9.

Norfolk Correctional Facility

Believe it or not, the best, hands down BEST reupholstering jobs I have ever seen have come from the program at the Norfolk Correctional Facility. And, happily the work is substantially less expensive than elsewhere. I have seen four pieces done there and they have all been exceptionally well done.
My mum had a chair to be redone and took it to two well reputed professional places where they told her that they would not be able to match the welting to the pattern in the new fabric, saying that it was too complex a pattern to match. She figured if that were the case she would rather save the money and have it done through the prison program. Guess what? Without even having had specified the welting issue, the chair was completed with this done and perfectly matched. The chair has now been in place for many years, gets very heavy use and looks better than some of the new stuff she has in the same room.
