I also found on-line a Revere company called Myhardwoodfloors.com. Since the latter company uses ServiceMagic for referrals, they had a fair amount of testimonials on their web page (very positive). The lowest quote was from Myhardwoodfloors.com and also they seemed to be the most flexible in terms of timing and compliance with my requirements. I am very happy with their work, although I had to watch them; woodwork is my hobby so I am difficult to satisfy. If you request a quote on-line, they will give you a 10% discount too.

We have used Eric Peterson 978-692-5905 for many hardwood floor sanding and refinishing jobs in our house and have always been very happy with his work and attention to detail.
He is often very busy, so it may take a couple of calls to get him to call back, but he's worth the effort.

We recently had two floors installed, one bamboo, one pergo, a sliding glass door put in, a kitchen counter built, a small room added on and multiple other small jobs around the house done. The man who did all that (he can do ANYTHING!!! - large jobs or small) was knowledgable, efficient, absolutely dependable and reasonably priced! He can do plumbing and electrical work too.
We highly recommend John Hanlan.

I'd recommend Ken Power.
Don't get fooled by their name, they have a great showroom in Ashland. They do laminate, hardwood and carpeting. My clients have been extremely happy with their products and installation.
